It amazes me a lot to see people neglect themselves so much. In my family i am called mr clean because i learnt a long time ago to pay attention to details when it comes to cleaning and hygiene to the extent they say i have what is called " obsessive compulsive disorder". I do not agree with them because to me everyone should take personal hygiene seriously, for your sake and others.
Let me begin with oral hygiene and bathing. Why some people don't scrub their body with a sponge when bathing beats me and it takes them less than 5 minutes to finish "bathing" and they wonder how they came to have body odour. What about the under arm(armpit) hair and groin hair and the hairs in your anal cleft you've left fallow, what are you 'breeding' them for? You've been using the same toothbrush for the past five years and wonder why your breadth stinks. It's not difficult, neither is it expensive to maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
First, make up your mind to be clean and then have your own regimen and stick to it. Get a sponge to scrub your body with when bathing and don't rush, take your time. Use a good soap or shower gel and pay close attention to friction areas, your armpit, groin and anal cleft. Scrub your feet adequately and ensure your nails are cleaned. Regular manicure and pedicure by a professional is strongly advised. Use a good deodorant afterwards. As for oral hygiene, a good toothbrush and paste cannot be over emphasised. You have to learn to brush at least twice a day, after meals and before you go to bed at night. Most people have never heard of floss let alone see it but you need it too to keep your mouth clean, it's like a thread and it's use to clean between the teeth. It helps reduce plague and to remove food debris stuck between the teeth. A good mouthwash will compliment your brushing and flossing. A visit to the dentist twice a year is advised for professional care. Change your toothbrush every 3 months is strongly advised by the dentist.
